not to call all young people snowflakes or anything but i do think a lot of people are soooo averse to anything that makes them uncomfortable (and tend to conflate things that make them uncomfortable with being problematic) and that’s why we have all this dumb sex scene discourse and grown adults who only watch kids stuff and nostalgia-bait and why hollywood is refusing to release anything interesting (because if it makes people uncomfy they won’t make $$$). and it’s so sad like sometimes a piece of art does make you sick to your stomach or make you jump out of your skin or make you weep or turn you on. and that’s a beautiful wonderful thing!!! that’s what art is for!! to let you access all sorts of crazy emotions you can’t access in boring everyday life!!! that’s what makes you feel human!!
